A broken clock is right twice a day, so I feel happy that the only "propaganda victory" the West has is to predict that 'zero-COVID' won't last forever... that's like predicting the sun will eventually existinguish itself. BUT that's not solid proof that Western COVID strategy is better because it's about the timing of when to end 'zero-COVID' that ultimately matters.
China will end 'zero-COVID' when the virus has mutated to be less deadly but more infectious, when population is vaccinated/boosted, and when 2nd-gen vaccines are available. Meanwhile, Western nations has filthy hygienic standards and virtually gave up on any serious public health measures just a few months into the pandemic.
All this proves is that West is dirty/filthy/unhygienic and China takes health/safety/lives seriously. And China has better GDP growth to boot, so the West can eat sh!t. They are grasping at the straws for any semblance of "victory" over China, which shows how butthurt and desperate they are.

It's a shame that China had to build a wall there. I have always been proud of China's open southern borders. But due to covid there really is no other way. I hope greater exchange and integration will resume sooner than later.
