Does anyone have a figure for the number of sorties that a Charles De Gaulle carrier can sustain?

That would likely be the upper limit for what a Type-076 can do, given the similar displacements.

I've only seen a surge figure of 100 sorties for the CdG

CdG has 2 catapults, 1 bow 1 on an angled deck. We don't know if 076 will have the same. If the amphibious mission is prioritized then likely 076 will have only 1 cat and no angled deck so the sortie rate will be much lower.

For a boat the size of the 076, the limitation might be its power plant. How quickly it can re-charge after each launch. The cost of the ship should be kept low. I imagine 1 cat is likely.

Given how often catapults end up failing, 1 catapult would doesn't seem sensible if you are relying on UCAVs being able to fly.

If you have 2 catapults, you can expect at least 1 to be available.

If you've done the calculations, you can see that the powerplant isn't an issue with recharging EMALs

don't think so, for safety the angled deck is needed

Cats are very expensive and not easy to maintain also you need allot of resources to run a catapult

this would put huge pressure on maintenance and hence deployment cycles not to mention the cost

if they jus add on a ski-jump they could save alot of mine and time

not to mention deploy all 3 x LHA in one go and much easier to synchronise the sources to ensure they are deployable

Why put Cats on 076? I don't see the paramount need for PLAN to desperately increase their naval aviation range or sortie numbers tbh. Cats on LHA is something the US navy wanted since their carriers alone do not satisfy their global maritime interests anymore. (and their old carriers had to retire while the new ones are still unable to replace rapidly)

I thought the specifications document required an emcat to launch UAVs?
