This is tangential, but it could clearly have military applications. The images show the Wild Camel powered off-road cart. It attaches to an individual's waist, and the wheels are battery powered. It can obey commands to go uphill, downhill, forward, and backward. It can lightened the load by up to 75%. It's currently being used by firefighters, but I can see a version for the army grunts needing to carrying extra rucksacks, ammo, and other supplies while patrolling on foot.

Every so often this idea gets regenerated but never adopted as though at a glance it seems great you then have to take more time to consider. What happens if the soldier has to go prone? or is trying to move along a ledge with risk of the cart slipping over the edge (potentially the soldier with it)? What about jungle swamp, rocks or woodlands where the cart gets bogged down or caught? Will the wheels make noise that can give away the position? Going over a well maintained path or dirt road is fine but generally that’s where troops face ambush besides if they have a road, ATVs, Jeeps, 4x4s, Hummvees Buggies carry more gear and move faster well packing a rolling arsenal. I mean look at the publicity shots you posted notice the way the tuffs of grass are in a line the width of the gravel path between greenery. I would place money on the assertion that if we measured it we would find that path is at a minimum 73 inches wide. Carved by off roaders driving Beijing BJ40s and Jeep Wranglers.
