I find it sorta funny/moronic when a segment of Americans would cheer at companies setting shop in Vietnam or Thailand. It means the work is still not coming back to the US and now your work population got even more competitors. Most likely those other companies will still source from China too.
It shows that America is more concerned about hurting China than improving conditions at home; they'll still keep pushing for these self defeating policies until American civil war 2.0: Electric Boogaloo.

Things doesn't seem to be going well for Biden recently. If he keeps on mucking around with his allies, things are eventually going to take a big turn for the worse, especially for the USA and be silliest part is that this didn't even need to happen. Maybe if Biden is fully in control of his mind, he might have been able to handle things but given that he became President at the worse possible time, he may not have the capabilities to handle the oncoming disaster, especially if the USA government cannot lift the debt ceiling which is due in October in 2 weeks.....

I wonder how China can exploit US/UK/Aus vs. France/EU division....

This is why I prefer China fighting Biden's "Rally the Allies" which can be exploited via "divide-and-conquer", rather than Trump's "Scorched Earth" approach, in which everyone including China, US, and EU gets fucked.

The French never really banned Huawei, or restricted Huawei in a very strict manner.

Now there will be less cooperation and coordination in the future between America and Europe over issues regarding after this back stabbing.

Why cooperate when we can get stabbed in the back?

Better for oneself to look after one's own interests.

Therefore, we have to assume there will be more of a free-for-all in international relations, countries putting their interests first before anyone else. This suggests alliance systems are weakening.

But ... there is a new AUKUS alliance, and the SCO just admitted Iran into it.

Okay, let's do the dialectic here, are more countries going to join alliances or alliances are only strong on the surface but are actually weakening because of the free-for-all?

My guess is that most countries would look at the short term and consider where is the best deal.

France thought it had an alliance and a deal for the long term, which went out the window like the trash. Who claims they have a good long term idea about the world's countries is bs.

That is a strength of China. China offers good deals. Turn the game that way, and China has a chance to win. Whatever they are playing, hehe.

:D

That is what Einstein said apparently. He believe that only the universe and human stupidity are infinite.

:p

I wonder how different the world would be if France remained the ultimate western power. France's issues were in some measure like China in 19th century, they were unable to mend social and political division within their country. That's why the country kept flipping between a republic and a monarchy in the 19th century. In a way, France never healed from the chaos of the revolution. France is lucky that they had someone like Charles de Gaulle to lead them in the post war period. Otherwise, France's position in the world would be very different.
World war 1 was so destructive for France that 1 in 20 was dead.

Hard to be an "ultimate power" when you surrender all the time.

It is more of a case ,the French being totally out fought than outright cowardice. Them being unable to mobilize themselves due to social divisions.
