Australia is becoming a new nuclear power! This is unacceptable. China should be going crazy everywhere starting from United Nations and demand sanctions! They have to bring this unbelievable development to world's attention. This is no different than North Korea becoming a nuclear force.

The above is publicity side,, on the real actions; China has to turn on the heat, I am serious this act deserves to cut all economic and diplomatic ties if it goes through. Something like this *never* happened since WW2! This is vile act.
R u okay??

EU left looking from the sidelines and announcing for the 100th time plans for a European defence 'identity':

It is completely impossible.

The interests of France or Germany are very different from those of the Poles or Slovaks.

And the military spirit in Europe is non-existent. The EU would form an army of transvestites and non-binary people

One of the first lessons China has to learn is to form its own "Warsaw Pact".

The second lesson is how NATO managed to divide the Warsaw Pact, first in Czechosvakia, then in Yugoslavia and in the Baltic republics.

In Europe we have a saying in Latin, "Dīvide et īmpera". Partition and conquer.

AUKUS, the first thing that are going to try is to destabilize CHINA, first of its potential allies, and then in regions like Tibet or Xinjiang.

Those who do not know history are condemned to repeat it
Tibet and Xinjiang are provinces of China so your comparison to the Warsaw pact Countries do not make any sense. The U.S. has tried for almost 50 years to drive Tibet away from China and so far that project has yet to yield any dividends for the U.S. and they tried it when China was relatively at it's weakest and poorest state. So if that attempt didn't work when China was decrepit and weak how much of a chance do you think it would have this time around when China is the world's largest trading country, the biggest economic power by PPP in the world and has a pretty decent military to back their economic power, not to mention that China is also one of the permanent members of the U.N. Security Council.

EU is at a strategic deadend after it allowed EE countries to join. If it hadn't, it would have been a lot more nimble in diplomacy.

Now back on topic, France has just lost a $100Bn contract + US Afghanistan betrayal + elections = this reaction from France.

Whatever Biden and team, thought they would gain from this, is more than matched by this public betrayal of France + EU thus putting a solid wedge between their relationship

.- The Warsaw Pact was not six times smaller economically
.- Not in those years
.- Truth
.- False, and I am speaking to you from a NATO country, Spain. The doctrine was to hold the tanks of the Warsaw Pact until the massive arrival of reinforcements from the US, UK and Canada.

My view from the extreme west of NATO in Europe.

We already had discussions on the USSR collapse and China.

But you can start with this thread from 5 years ago, which is still valid.

I'm not saying they're going to get it. I only put the vision from Europe of what NATO did in the 90s.

Read, learn and don't make past mistakes.

Chechnya, Kosovo, solidarity union in Poland, fall of Ceaușescu, Perestroika ... Check out the story of how NATO defeated the Warsaw Pact.

I finish with this that is not the topic
