@Overbom @Gatekeeper Sir I know it may sounds like a war is coming but on my owned perspective it is just telling the US and the West THE CHINA REDLINE, so far the past decade or so the Chinese are passive relying on Deng Dictum of Hiding your strength. With Xi who is a realist that misconception needed to be clarify. Ambiguity is obsolete in the 21st century cause China want none of it. So Xi want a relationship based on trust and RESPECT. With its accumulation of NATIONAL COMPREHENSIVE Strength visa vie the US, it had the power to put its message across mildly but with the insecurity prevailing in the American political elites and its society it scares them big time.

Sir from what I gather the rapprochement between China and Russia really put a wrench on their plan of global domination, coupled with the pandemic, they had bitten off more than they can chew, exposing their vulnerability especially at home. That vulnerability had come home to roost cause WAR IS NOT AN OPTION, especially with Russia huge nuclear arsenal combined with a increasing Chinese nuclear force. Threat is not being listen to cause they know its a bluff and here lies a problem it makes the US look weak and only fastened the US decline.

In my opinion the reunification of taiwan must wait until China completed its nuclear build up, only after China achieve some sort of nuclear parity with the us, then reunification can be done without the threat of us interference

@bajingan bro the Chinese Rejuvenation / China dreams is needed to work on intently combined with hard power like slight increase in nuclear arsenal (about half 2,500 warheads), We don't want to follow the example of the Soviet Union. For me TW issue is long been settled, whatever difference we have across the straight it doesn't change the fact that we are of the same race and ethnicity. The US interference is an eyesore and the cause of all this problem but the CCP need to convinced the Taiwanese that unification is also on their best interest. What DPP is doing in the long run is its own undoing cause TW as a country is a farce and trying to separate itself as different from the Chinese is laughable. As I said the CCP need to work hard to court the Taiwanese cause using threat may backfire badly.

China's situation mirrors much of North Vietnam vis a vis the South, so I wouldn't be surprised to see things play out similarly. PRC gov understands both the civil and military aspects involved in Taiwan so they haven't been slow there to begin with.

@montyp165 bro 2025 there will be a realization whether whom the Taiwanese nor the American elected as president in the 2024 election, cause by that time the American had gotten what they wanted (TSMC 5nm tech) and the Chinese had at least reach its Comprehensive National Power. If its Trump he will dialed back cause he need a deal with China period to have his second term. Therefore what will the next Taiwan president will do? having traded its family jewel to America do you think it had the same influenced?

China now has wrestled defacto control of Diaoyu Island from Japan, a treaty ally of the US. Yet, we have seen no military action from either Japan nor the US. In fact, Western media tries their best to avoid talking about it.
