The US ( surely Biden knew ) have made a coup at Guinea, where Simandou , the China hope of iron ore, located.
It is very similar to the 1965 Jakarta coup when Soekarno who was anti-west was dethroned by Soeharto. Soeharto at first was very pro-US, gave a lot of Indonesia resources to US company ( Freeport, Caltex etc ), and his policy was very anti China. I think Guinea will be made US puppet soon.

But who will buy the iron ore? What interest will the US give to Guinea to compensate?

How is it so easy for the US to say coup and have it succeed?

As well iron ore can be sourced from many countries, it may have to be done in small amounts from many different willing countries.

The metal ore are always available else where, the world's largest market, however, will be gone if she's offended by pure stupidity. Also the guy staged the coup used to be french foreign legionnaire, he would most likely be a french puppet first

I think China was put off by the coup not because they are afraid of Americans playing 4d chess. But more of the issue is they didn't cultivate any relationship with any opposition figure or coup leader. So there is no dynamic for China to get involved within.

Thats the diplomats fault then.

China should always strive to build relationships with everyone in a country. That includes the Government (bureaucracy), ruling party, opposition parties, military, NGOs, local gov, business, society etc.

China shouldnt just wait for a coup to happen and then caught trying to figure out what it is going to do. Instead, they should build relationships with everyone so that they can ensure that whoever comes at power, China will have communication and influence to them.

This case is especialy bad, as that country was publically said/stated to be the big iron ore replacement for Australia.

Everyone and their mother knew that the CIA would try something there to destabilise the country or create another puppet

It's not about who will buy the iron ore. It's about denying China from buying from them. It's easy. This is all about containing China. China is very dependent on iron ore import, if China loses a big source for it, it's a success.

If that was the case, Australia wouldn't be making tons of money by selling iron ore to China.
it may have to be done in small amounts from many different willing countries.
That's against economy of scale, which means very cost-inefficient. Plus, big one of those willing countries,

Correct.

For the US to consider that it has won this "round" it just needs to deny this iron ore from going to China.

For China, it needs to ensure a stable country, with developed infrastructure, developed mine, and uninterrupted supply of iron ore.

As you can see, the strategic objective for the US is clearly much easier to accomplish than China's.

Another case of "it is easier to destroy than to build". The US is the destroyer and China is the builder

No, simply no. Look at how China is dependent on Australia for iron ore. Metal being here and there doesn't necessarily mean it's economically viable.

People here were saying elsewhere as alternative of Australian iron ore in the wake of the diplomatic conflicts with Australia. Now another iron ore source seems to go soon, and you are still saying "elsewhere". Will that continue until the US blocks all the iron ore sources in the world one by one?

"The world's largest market" can't survive without imports, yet can't secure import sources, and the US can effectively cut its imports.
