China's Military Expansion & Modernization - Australian View

China does not need to attack Australia, but China could significantly erode Australia's status as a middle power and economic influence in Southeast Asia should the US-led order diminish. Canberra is highly dependent on Washington in order to be able to punch above its weight and behave like a great power (but in reality, middle power due to dependence on the US and lack of nukes) in Asia. It is also the only "white" western nation in a region surrounded by "orientals." Therefore Canberra has an inherent interest in defending the US-led order and prevent non-Western powers from becoming new hegemons in the Asia-Pacific Region. As with China, while it is Australia's biggest trading partner, Sino-Australian economic and political ties are so tilled in favor of China that Australia fears about losing its unique political, economic, and cultural leverages over China. Overall, it is China (and Imperial Japan before 1941) that could really threaten Australia very identity as a unique western nation surrounded by "orientals" due to power imbalances.
This is the problem with Australia.
The fact that it perceives its own identity to be so fragile as to be threatened merely by the presence of "orientals" reveals the glaring insecurity of the anglo australian people. Such insecurity will result in self defeating actions as we've seen with the Federal government wrt China.

Australia had a chance to become a Switzerland of Asia; instead we get Rhodesia of the Pacific.
And Rhodesia didn't last very long.

You going to be the big brave person who joins the PLA to do that?
Not me, rather a whole list of nations that are just waiting for the opportunity to come up and while gladly do that and more. It is all a matter of time as it is shown, other then the USA (and even that is quite shaky at best given how easily they threw Afghan istan under the bus) no other nation is going to stick its neck out for australia so when the USA goes down, many nations are going to have a fun time bringing up all the atrocities that australia has done to any countries on the behalf of the USA and this time, they will have to bear the consequences and finally put them in their place for good because trying to punch above its weight on behalf of one of the most evil nations in the planet in terms harm done to the world and still proclaiming human rights while embracing its racist past as a banner, is simply asking for pain.

I hope you Australians are prepared to defend your country and so-called continent down to the last person. After all, your country's government (that is if you're Australian) are aching for some kind of war with China.
Australia has never once been truly invaded, should China ever come to Sydney and actually shoot ddown Australian plane and bomb pine gap, the war will be over so fast it would be hilarious.
Australia has no real experience when it comes to this kind of war and has never fought a foe that can no only fight back but have better equipment and not be backed by the USA in almost every single conflict it has ever faced (and those not have fared poorly, just look at Gallipoli)

Australia's actions only become clearer if you consider that the Five Eyes are not 5 wholly independent nations, but an Anglo Empire; what does it matter if China sanctions 1/5 of that empire if the main body of the empire (US) gains from the lost trade?

Anglos as a people are the spiritual inheritors of the third reich; whilst they claim to abhor the third reich and nazism, their actions and policies betray the incipient racial consciousness that characterised the third reich.

I mean with headlines coming from moronic and unhinged politicians like this ass hat the war rhetoric against China is solidifying at even greater and dangerous scale.
