A more befitting title for this article.
"A view from a China Hating Malay from Singapore".

Another US owned Chihuahua from Singapore, regrettably.
.
Kausikan again the man who blamed China: "So' it's all China's mistakes to not abide the Deng's thought in 1990s,..."

He is either a fool or simply an insincere selling out some agenda against China!!

Ambassador Bilahari Kausikan is the chairman of the Middle East Institute at the National University of Singapore. He formerly served as permanent secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

He is not a Malay but a mix from an Sporean Indian daddy came from Tamil Nadu + Sporean Chinese mom.

The divide is firstly born by the security establishment and it then flows down to the masses.

Why should you care about celebrities?
China first needs to solve the security apparatus of Japan and break up Japan's vassal status to the US before anything meaningful happens between China and Japan
Huh? I dun care about celebrities. Interaction between the young people and cultural ambassadors are helpful to ease hatred and Hostility. The relationship and alliance between US and Japan is obviously a big factor, but that is difficult to change in short period of time. There are other ways to ease tension and promote friendly relations.

Yes but these actions are useless in gaining China any strategic benefits.

Now if you are talking about having better people-to-people relations then sure, why not. I was talking more about Chinese national strategic interests, which means that as long as Japan is a vassal to the US then nothing will fundamentally change (strategically).

Currently there is only 1 thing that binds Japan closer to China and it definetely isnt people-to-people relations, it is business. People-to-people are good for the common people (masses) but it doesn't change much for the Security establishment
