See it's not just us who can see the parallels, even westerns are starting to recognise it.

I am kind of impressed that there are people in the west familiar enough with On Protracted War to see this pattern. This is more clarity of strategic vision than what one usually expects of them.
Stan Grant is not a westerner, he is of Australian Aboriginal by descent. So in theory no westerners saw the parallels LOL.

Can't they export to India or something? I thought that was the plan.

(still the gap itself is approaching the size of the South Korea )... BUT that's all the resemblance of the two! See below

India, among the South Asian countries, is at the bottom of the Global Hunger Index, 2020. India even lags behind literally starving countries such as Congo, Ethiopia and Angola.

One in five Indians still earns under US$37.50 a month –- and 88.87 percent of the population or, in other words, nine out of ten, still make less than US$ 165 a month in India.

Economic activity in India is limited to a tiny population. Out of a population of 1.36 billion, only 14.6 million people had taxable income in the fiscal year 2018/2019. India’s taxable income is above the figure of US$6,750.

Only 4.6 million Indians earn more than one million Indian rupees, an amount that equals slightly less than US$13,500.

Urban India, known to the West as India, accounts for only about 35 percent of the country’s population. Sixty-five percent of India’s population lives in rural areas. Thus, the countryside of India is very different from what India looks like in the world.

Despite the economic reforms that began in July 1991, India only grew to join merely the $2.5 trillion economies in 2019. In the Lok Sabha election campaign 2019, the Modi government raised the slogan of creating a $5 trillion economy by 2024. But India’s ambition to become a $5 trillion economy is unlikely to be realized even by 2030.

Thats literally the "according to Keikaku" meme.
Everything was calculated and planned meticulously by the 5D multidimensional chess player, President Biden.

I'm sure Uyghurs are so inspired by what's going on in Afghanistan they all want the same happening to them.

Afghanistan: Sky News correspondent sees Kabul airport mayhem and then bodies covered in white sheets amid evacuation scramble

  • The US embassy in Afghanistan has advised American citizens to avoid traveling to Kabul's airport due to "potential security threats".
  • Sky's chief correspondent Stuart Ramsay is there and reports on what he saw on Saturday morning as thousands of people wait to get inside to be evacuated.

The mornings are always challenging on the barricades. The British soldiers know that after a night waiting for the evacuation process to restart the tens of thousands camped on the road leading to their base will try to rush their way through.

British soldiers have been identifying those who need evacuation

Today it was different. Very different.

Today it turned chaotic in an instant.

Within minutes this was an emergency, nothing to do with process; the soldiers found themselves just trying to save lives.

Soldiers were working flat out to try to manage the situation

At the front of the queue people were being crushed to death.

Paratroopers began pulling people from the mayhem, medics rushing from the next casualty to the next, then the next and the next.

Crushed, dehydrated, terrified.

The scene turned chaotic on Saturday morning

Standing on top of the compound wall, soldiers sprayed the crowd with a hose - anything to cool them down.

We saw men, women, and lots and lots of children.

And then what we had all feared began to happen.

Stuart Ramsay saw lots of men, women and especially children at the airport

Soldiers started shouting for medics and stretchers as unconscious people were carried to the rear. The medics checked their vital signs and then covered the bodies in white sheets.

"Is this a stabilised withdrawal from Afghanistan?" I thought.

It looks like death to me, death trying to reach freedom.

Wherever Stuart Ramsay looked, there were soldiers pulling families out of the crowd to safety

In the mayhem, units rush through crowds to shore up weak points in the evacuation centre - everyone working flat out trying to stem the tide of an unfolding disaster.

It doesn't matter where you look it's the same desperation - American soldiers, British soldiers, Spanish soldiers, German soldiers, Polish soldiers, pulling children, whole families from the pens and the crowds they've been kept behind for processing.

The Taliban takeover meant the planning was immediately out of date

It feels like these people fear their dreams of a flight out are ebbing away as each day passes.

The soldiers sometimes have to fire in the air for fear of losing control of the crowd.

But it seems unlikely a gunshot is ever going to calm the frightened down.

Cont.
This scene won't happen at all if the USA and other NATO allies have sent more aircraft and simply TAKE ALL the people at the Kabul airport to their dream lands!

Imagine if the US and allies just open their doors widely, with no restriction under this harsh & emergency circumstance, just have ALL INCLUSIVE, then this drama will never happen!

Countries like Canada, Australia even the US itself are vast lands, these rich countries can take millions of migrants from Afghanistan without any problem. At least it's what many still believe.

Why don't they just grant the Afghans all the freedom and human rights & democracy that the West is preaching around intensely? I don't believe the NATO is facing any air transport constraint, they just need a resolve for the total commitment in human rights solution!

I wasn't trolling. I'm just reposting the Australian leaders' plans. Pretty sure that it is very well thought out and that being the first caliber politicians/geopolitical strategists that they are, they must have information that we are not privy to.

“Nato is the bedrock of European security, but Russia will not be blind to the implications of this withdrawal decision and the manner in which it was taken,” Theresa May, the former prime minister, said. “Neither will China and others have failed to notice the implications.
In recent years, the West has appeared to be less willing to defend its values,” she added. “That cannot continue. If it does, it will embolden those who do not share those values and wish to impose their way of life on others.”

Let her cry more. All this "defend our values" around the world, was before making China the enemy.

From now on... China and Russia will be crushing foreign influence in Eurasia. She should take a page out of Boris and instead start talking to China + Russia, otherwise British influence will drop to 0.

Same with the EU and its holier than you talk. If they think they can still have any influence in influence to Afghanistan then they are delusional

She's 100% right.
Biden (and Boris) are trying to brush this under the rug but it is a big deal if you're an American or Brit.

Trouble is, she is as much to blame.
