any idea if DL will start on a 004? same class as 003

it would be good to see 004 start soon

then JNCX gets 003 launched in 2021

and starts 005 in 2023

and 006 starts after 004 is launched from DL around 2025

005 + 006 CVN >100,000 tons 48 x fighters each

= 216 naval fighters or 9 x regiments

will need 12 x regiments to keep pace

CV19 does not necessarily equal 004.

CV(N)20 might be the first type 004 if a sister ship to CV18 (a Type 003) is built.

there is no evidence that 003 and the possible 004 is number of the "type" instead of sequence number of all CVs.

Very often it is easier for error and rumor to spread than the truth because of being repeated for a long time. New members do not read through the old posts that have made the clarification, in this case type-001A became just 002.

Then there are some old member here even insisted to hang on type-001A after seeing the 002 designation in official ceremony and internal meeting. That would be personal ego.

Well thanks for the allowance for newer members… I do read old posts, and know CV16 is 001 and CV17 is 002. You will also note that I said “not necessarily” and “might”.

So my question / clarification that I am kindly seeking is this:

Will every PLAN carrier - from current 003 under construction, to let’s say 3 identical CVNs (“end state design”) at some undetermined future date, all the way to Star Destroyers patrolling Phobos and Deimos - all see the type number incremented by 1?

* (Even when a “mature/end state design” is decided upon and then multiple identical hulls with identical prime movers are batch produced)
