Swimming is a rich people sport because of the infrastructure involved. Not like a dirt field where you can kick a soccer ball or run around.

As China becomes richer, it will naturally 'invade' more high-profile, influential, and popular sports like swimming. It will take time, maybe decade or two... But next generation will pay off, bigly.

Yeah she is big favourite. No one's PB is close to her. China has tradition in this event with legendary champions like liu zige and jiao liuyang. After her silver in 100m I feel she will more motivated in 200.
