Quite an interesting editorial by GT .

Indirectly Recognizing that its India who was behind the recent attack.

China willing to send SFs to Pakistan . I would say its a great move. Yes casualties may occur but it will also provide valuable combat experience to Chinese SFs .

Now ofcorse inviting any foreign troops for domestic ops is a very politically risky move but in this case China will be working alongside Pakistan in eliminating terrorists who've caused immense damage to Pakistan and its people. Hence even public would appreciate Chinas presence. Low chances but i hope it happens.
Dude you heard they recently arrested an official in CPEC authority I believe

He was providing info to a foreign agency, but officially we don't know which agency or was it related to this recent blast or not

Maybe that's why the harsh language?

Why not all of China? Yes hypocrite Americans looking out for their profits.
Let them destroy themselves, China recently now has Afghanistan as a new market so really, who is this going to hurt in the long term other then ruining the USA economy even more. May the USA destroy its economic irreversibly so that its market can be open to permanent sanctions since it is pretty clear that the USA doesn't produce anything worth while

BBC reports of Afghans fleeing from bombs and bullets between the govt and the Taliban forces as the US and NATO forces leave. Like this is some news.

How about the truth? Which is Afghans have been running away from bombs and bullets for decades. The fighting have never stopped even before the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. Afghans were still running from bombs during the entirety of US's and NATO's War On Terror in Afghanistan. Until the country is left alone to sort itself out for good, Afghans will continue running away from bombs and bullets.
The more I see this injustice, the more I wish for the people of the USA (especially those that support these wars) to suffer the same pain since really, they have never and will never learn from there mistakes until real consequences come home to roost

The South Korean government has summoned the Japanese ambassador to the foreign ministry over crude remarks about President Moon Jae-in and his attempt to

Hirohisa Soma, the deputy head of the Japanese embassy in Seoul, reportedly ridiculed Moon’s chances of holding a summit with Suga during the Games, accusing the South Korean president of “masturbating”.

In response, South Korea’s First Vice Foreign Minister Choi Jong-kun called ambassador Koichi Aiboshi to the foreign ministry to express its “grave” regret and lodge a protest over Soma’s “undiplomatic and rude” remarks. The foreign ministry also urged the Japanese government to “take substantial and proper steps expeditiously to prevent recurrences”, it said in a statement.

“It was quite inappropriate for a diplomat to make such remarks,” the ministry said. “We’re taking this incident seriously, and we will take proper diplomatic measures.”

Soma reportedly made the remarks on Thursday while speaking to a journalist from South Korea’s JTBC about the faltering negotiations for Moon’s visit to Tokyo for the opening of the Olympics next week. South Korea hoped Moon’s possible visit to Tokyo for the Games, which open on July 23, would include an hour-long summit with Suga.

Two of Moon’s senior aides last week said the president would visit Tokyo only if there was an opportunity for an extended summit with Suga, giving the two leaders a chance to address

“President Moon is masturbating,” Soma reportedly told the JTBC reporter. “The Japanese government cannot afford to worry about the Korea-Japan issue as much as South Korea thinks … President Moon is engaged in a war of nerves on his own.”

Soma apologised for his remarks and later clarified that the expression was intended to describe “the trend of Korean diplomacy” and was not directed specifically at Moon.

Ties between South Korea and Japan have been strained by disputes over historical issues stemming from World War II and the period of Japanese colonial rule, including

According to JTBC, Soma insisted South Korea should make the first move to improve ties with Japan by presenting solutions in the areas of disagreement.

“The South Korean government must first submit answer sheets to the two homework issues:

After JTBC first reported Soma’s comments on Friday, the Japanese embassy in Seoul sought to contain the diplomatic fallout as Aiboshi made a statement expressing regret.

“Soma’s remarks were very improper and quite regrettable ones for a diplomat to make, even if they were made during background conversations [with a journalist],” he said, adding that he had “dressed [Soma] down severely”.

The Beijing Olympics (legendary opening ceremony still remember it to this day) and to some extent London (Queen jump and Mr.Bean were the highlights other then that it was just ok) one were the last truly global events

Unfortunately I doubt if modern Olympics can still create that hype/atmosphere

Japanese Olympics would probably be a bigger flop then even the Brazilian ones

What are they protesing about?
Most of us think that the Government regulations on the environment and climate change regulations in a shorter time frame are rather harsh. Most of us have made big improvements into controlling effluent contaminating rivers and lakes and yet city folks still continue pumping raw sewerage into the harbour.
The Government is putting a stop to converting more land into dairy farms as well as herd numbers.
We are against the government putting an $8000 tax on combustion powered vehicles to subsidise EV''s next year.
