I wasn't born yesterday so I do not trust even for a moment the words coming out of Campbell's mouth.
However, I greatly enjoy all the consternation and butt devastation this news is causing.
It showed that there are still folks in us govt that still has common sense, us politicians drunk on easy victories in middle east may think that us military is rambo, but real us military is rational people after all is their asses who is on the line not the politicians

Victims are Vietnamese but I don't think they can tell the difference or care.

Funny thing is that they've probably encouraged anti China rhetoric online. I see Hong Kongers, Koreans and Japanese propagating anti China propaganda and ask myself whether a racist will ask them where they are from before he hits them with a mallet on the head.

What a disaster Kim has been for N.Korea. Now people are dying from a food crisis..

“When people run out of cash, they borrow money, rice or corn from their neighbors or acquaintances. When that becomes difficult, they pawn or sell their household goods.
In the neighborhoods, we often see debt collectors barging in and taking away everything, even pot kettles. The only recourse left is to turn to crime or, in the case of women, prostitution. In the end, they sell their houses.”
“Those who have lost their homes have no choice but to wander the streets. Since last summer, there have been reports of an increase in the number of kochebi (homeless people) from all over the country. It is getting common to see abandoned children and older people begging in the market. What has been driving the situation is the sharp rise in grain prices since June.
At one point in early June, the price of white rice rose 1.7 times and that of corn 2.4 times compared to one month earlier.

Recently, many mines and factories have seen an increase in the number of workers who cannot come to work due to malnutrition. “It is no longer unusual to see collapsed and broken people on the streets. The kochebi that emerged last year may have all died,” said a reporting partner from Musan City.
What shocked us was that since the latter half of June, we have been receiving reports from all over the northern part of the country that the elderly are dying rapidly. For example, a reporting partner in Hyesan City said, “Their bodies are so weak from not being able to eat that they die easily from colds and diarrhea. This is because medicine is no longer coming in from China. If things continue like this, all the old people will die.”

This idiot Kim is mass killing his citizen by these stupid policies of him. Its not like he has the wealthiest superpower next to him, ready to supply his with everything his country needs. Idiot
The cause of the crisis was the blockade of the border with China, which led to a sharp decline in trade. It was also the tightening of controls on movement and commerce within the country as if martial law had been declared.

Have to understand few things
1. NK has been a victim of US imperialism probably their worst victim. US is mostly to blame for the current situation of the country.
2. China can also supply him limited stuff due to crippling UNSC sanctions. Its not like Kim has rejected support from China.
3. Keeping the borders shut is the only way he protects the country against COVID .Not like they have tremendous health infra. Better few hundred dying from hunger than thousands dying from COVID.
4. Without him NK will disintegrate . He's important to their survival as a state . And i think we all know how imp NK is to China geopolitically.
5. Media reports about NK are mostly exaggerated. Yea things are bad but media loves to hype it extremely. Remember how Western Media cooked up all kinds of conspiracies reg Jack Ma? That he's in a Gulag/Labour camp. lol

But Kim is not without faults .
He gets provoked easily. Trump baited him into conducting multiple nuclear tests with nothing but tweets despite China warning him not to. He's kinda to blame himself for getting sanctioned by UN. (even China voted against him). China can disregard US sanctions but not UN .

He's in a tough spot . Try ruling a country knowing very well that multiple nations want to kill you and disintegrate your country. Its natural to be brash and paranoid.

What he should do instead is strengthen the party and allow for transfer of power. Remain the nominal head and let others run the country.

Anyone knows when the next Wolf Warrior movie is going to be released?

I predict that the moment it will get out, the West will have the greatest hysteria of the past decade. It will be glorious!
Imagine if they do a reverse Red Dawn, with China having to fight off a Western invasion after a massive, multi-nation, coordinated surprise pre-emptive attack on China's major assets - fleets are held back, units are isolated, pockets of resistance waiting desperately for reinforcements that may never come... Meanwhile a lone PLAN carrier battle group conducting what was supposed to be a routine naval exercise half the world over is now racing against time to relieve their comrades back home while constantly being hunted by enemy forces every step of the way.

Well there's my elevator pitch.

@bajingan bro Kurt Campbell is a snake, he and Victoria Nuland may share the same philosophy but he prefer a Machiavellian approach by letting their proxy take the lead ( Both Australia, the Philippines and recently Japan). In our case we lost Scarborough shoal and a damage relationship with China but he dutifully perform his mission and for that every word he says should be taken with a huge grain of salt.

You know there's a famous Chinese military fiction just like that. It's called 全频带阻塞干扰, written by the same guy who wrote "The Three Body Problem".

1. They are, so what
2. That's true
3. China is infected with covid?
4. He or his father could have started China like reforms and not let Korea be a one of the biggest (sorry for a word) shitholes in the entire world.
5. That's true, but the black night is a reality, you can see daily photos from space and North Korea is as black as the night. Also nice morning music in Korea, totally normal country.

After so many years after war, there's no excuse for Korea being where they are now.
