All i want is China to go beyond diplomatic protests. I read that China was ready to scramble jets when the UN Ambassador visit was planned. Why not do the same here and show that you mean business?

They are a bipartisan group of senators who are sitting in the Armed services, and Foreign relations committees.

They are definetely not visiting by just their own decision. They obviously have approval from other people.

And this is serious because after these people visit then you would have the US dogs, EU Parliament, visiting it, then soon after, the whole world Parliaments would be visiting Taiwan

As I said, this is salami-slicing China's red lines

If China didnt have countermeasures for when that would happen then these Red Lines are the same one which Obama used on Syria...

China needs to start salami-slicing US red lines... I could think of couple hundreds of them. Where to start....

I think salami slicing the Monroe doctrine would be better. NK is of limited use beyond being a buffer zone and may cause unnecessary tension with SK and Japan. Iran deal is already a massive salami slicing and it was actually consequential, unlike a senator visit. Arming Iran may cause unnecessary tension with Arabs and Israel too. On the other hand, slowly developing relations beyond a purely economic level in South America would have no adverse effects on China.
