They do practice extreme personal cleanliness. But since covid is air transmitted they need better masks. Some of these Hong Kong and Taiwan people thought Japan made masks are superior.
I'm really surprised that Japan's reaction / lockdown seems lukewarm and not serious. After watching too many Kaiju and Evangelion films I have the impression that the Japanese government has contingency plans for every scenario ever.

Here's some sampled of the much hyped and vaunted Japanese government efficiency: "
The seat was won by the LDP at the Upper House election in July 2019 by Anri Kawai, 47, who was jailed 16 months after being found guilty in a cash-for-votes scandal.

Her husband, former Justice Minister Katsuyuki Kawai, 58, resigned last month as he pleaded guilty to buying votes so as to secure his wife's election victory. A by-election for his seat, also in Hiroshima, is yet to be held.

What makes matters worse for Mr Suga is the fact that he had personally stumped for Anri Kawai at the poll, and regarded Katsuyuki Kawai as a close confidante.

And more about the ruling LDP history and how much of a c..k that country is by the U.S.

"Shigeru Yoshida, one of the preeminent figures in the leading faction of Japan's conservative Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) after World War II, charted a course of prioritizing the economy and valuing relationships with Japan's neighbors. In that way, he sought to establish Japan as an Asian leader recognized by its neighbors."
"This former prime minister's plan was to normalize relations with Communist China, believing that Japan's national security and prosperity ultimately depended on Asia. But then-US Secretary of State John Dulles said that unless Japan recognized the Kuomintang nationalists in Taiwan as the legitimate government of China, the US wouldn't restore Japan's sovereignty. Facing such a threat, Yoshida had no choice but to comply."

The white man has been nothing but a curse on East Asia.

And this is Indian media doing propaganda against China about the suspended cargo flights between China and India. Didn't say anything about China sending oxygen but they are now badmouthing China about a private airline's decision.

Also check the comments. This is how they accept kindness from China. China can send all the help it wants, Indians will always see it as the enemy
There is no point in helping these people. Better to sell over priced stuff to them for hard currency while they still got things to sell/barter.

India's only hope for containing this, is by Wuhan-style lockdowns and maybe even harsher with all these cases.

There is no way that India will escape this by doing their usual soft-lockdowns and wearing a mask here and there. Either very hard lockdown or things will get worse.

I am eagerly awaiting to see how the Western media will react to that...
I'm afraid no other country in the world than China can impose Wuhan style hard lockdown. I predict India's disaster at the very beginning of the pandemic in our company's weekly meeting. Today things turn out to be worse than what I predicted.

Those are movies. You’d reach the conclusion that Chinese people could fly if you binge read Louis Cha novels.
