Jesus Christ man, what do you want - 30+ Type 055s staring down an ageing US 7th fleet every day? Russian infrastructure is a joke outside of the Moscow region, nevermind US infrastructure as a whole. If the Americans and 'allies' want to come and start shooting, those ships will be out there extremely soon with China's industrial capacity. The current planned fleet alone is making the Americans twitch in anxiety. Not an exaggeration to say that China's enemies would be buried alive in steel and blood in an actual war.

Meanwhile, there's still another 400M or so in poverty conditions.

@voyager1 but bro with that % of spending look what China had achieved, yesterday it had just commission 3 strategic warship in her arsenal. If I had a naval program I'll have China to manage it, if I hired an American it will takes year for a feasibility study to finished...LOL

Then if this is really true? Why is the U.S. military cowering in fear of it's potential battle with China? American military leadership and America in general has never learned from their Roman ancestors penchant for underestimating enemies or not respecting the will of the enemy to fight. Their so called diplomacy is basically this: do what we say or else just like how the Romans did. For all their supposed reading of military strategies from Clausewitz to Sun Tzu, none of them have actually taken it's time tested lessons both to heart and mind.

As Sun Tzu said: Appear weak when you are strong, and strong when you are weak.” Time and time again as Sun Tzu advised: "All warfare is based on deception. Hence, when we are able to attack, we must seem unable; when using our forces, we must appear inactive; when we are near, we must make the enemy believe we are far away; when far away, we must make him believe we are near." Lastly, to make my point, again I am going to quote the timeless military strategist: "Victorious warriors WIN FIRST and THEN GO TO WAR, while DEFEATED WARRIORS go to war first and then seek to win."

Taiwan made new passports without mentioning "China" anywhere. Could China prevent it? No.

Then, the US(Biden) has started diplomatic contacts with Taiwan. Could China prevent it? No. (Except that US ambassador thing lol)

Now Taiwan is starting to talk about changing their COUNTRY NAME. Will China be able to prevent it? IMO no!

How long will China accept, the US and Taiwan slapping it and salamy slicing this issue?

Why it didn't increase military spending as a percentage of GDP for these past 2 decades (as per the chart posted previously)?

"Focus on the economy" yes yes, we heard it. So why not increase it in the past 10 years, past 5 years, past 2 years?

@ansy1968 Yes it achieved a lot, but now it is playing on the Super league where the US is determined to destroy it ("extreme competition" lol). Spending should have been increased Dramatically when Trump was elected but no the Gov was "Economy, Economy". When China witnesses the US salami-slicing the Taiwan issue then China can use its "Economy" to stop the US....

@voyager1 bro it will be an endless debate, all this noise is like a family quarrel , the favorite daughter want to leave home and disagreement ensued but at the end of the day she will return home and reunite. Two of her sister had return and she stubbornly resist cause there is somebody that is influencing her and also her pride. I would suggest that the Armenian card being played by America may be laying the foundation to forcibly eject Turkey from NATO precisely because America has now made Turkey an enemy, and Turkey knows it can do a lot more damage to American strategic plans by being inside the NATO tent pissing all over the place than it could ever manage standing outside trying to piss into it.
