Post pandemics world, AI and 5G are like luxury items.

US overfocused on outcompeting with China. Maybe at end it will find out China never really compete in semiconductor , AI, 6G area instead it made surprising lead in other areas such as nuke parity, moon base, military, controlling of water resource. China substantially reduced its export.
Decoupling has little effect.
All the effort has little to show for.

China compete well against west in many areas. low and medium ended business. there's where the volume lies.

As of now US import from China is all time high. lol Market force is stronger than US government.

So far. there's really not much western market place for chinese developed chips. Not before and certainly Not in the future.

I don't get the anxiety. China didn't lose anything. Maybe except for huawei. It has pay for its own sins.

Put it this way, even if China has EUV and made high end chips. Western government still gonna keep Chinese branded high-tech goods out of market place. So you end up the same.

As far as its own market, China can use whatever tech. Non EUV products are good enough too and less expensive.

But China will have to finally do sth then and ban high-end American companies like Apple and Tesla.
Look at numbers from Q1 this year, so many cucks in China buy Apple's products and Tesla, and overpriced boots like special edition Nike, which doesn't buy cotton from Xinjiang.

China will take Taiwan soon, and export licenses will be needed for TSMC products.

According to businesskorea, national security commission on artificial intelligence , headed by ex Google CEO Schmidt, proposed to Biden admin to ban ArF DUV to China. Those losers don't do anything on AI except how to sabotage China development, lol. They should get rid of their association title to sabotage China commission. ArF DUV from ASML has 0 technology from US yet they still want to go that route. This is also beyond wassenar as ArF is older technology
With this type of sick mindset, China should announce plan of reaching US nuke parity by 2030. I think nothing else would check this US sickness. Why do this , isn't it oveekill? Well that's what US worry the most, China step up their nuke weapons. And time to kick US company out of China market. China has not done that but needed to.

Have to dish some hurt out to stop the US sickness from spreading.

@Oldschool will EU go along and SK too? ASML had a Chinese equivalent in SMEE 28NM DUVL also with SK in DRAM and NAND? If they go that route hope they able to recover their investment....LOL

didn't the US orgnaised their "Semiconductors Alliance". They already have Germany(EU) on board and Japan (I think). The only one remaining is S.Korea which was invited to join but it hasn't responded yet.

So you see the western alliance and their vassal are already trying to form a coalition to ban IC technology
