This 50% thing is really a stupid fuss from the English MSM. And I do think Brazil's government released the data point with an evil mind. Quite simply to me and my family, if a medicine has 100% efficacy of preventing me from being hospitalized, and 78% efficacy of preventing me from taking 10 PTO days, then I won't hesitate taking it right here right now, even with 100% chance of having mild symptoms. Heck! I have mild to strong symptoms every allergy season each year. mRNA is a new and unproven approach. Given potential harms, I would take CoronaVac over mRNA any hour on any day in any week. Period. Really stupid English craps.

The government of Brazil correctly reported the data by the stage of disease intensity, in addition to an average effectiveness. The problem is how each one wanted to interpret. If the Western media wanted to take the lowest value as a reference and you wanted to take the highest value, it is not the fault of the research. For example, a few days ago China released data on GDP. The headlines of the same media pointed out that it was the lowest value in 40 years, not as the only major country to present a positive result. Understood?

I think you mis-interpreted my post. If you read it correctly, I did not say Brazil released wrong data. I did say the way Brazil released their 3rd trial results is dubious. Do remember that the Brazilian president has been smearing China or Chinese vaccine recently. On the efficacy front, I said I would take the Chinese vaccine over the mRNA vaccines for the reason that (1) mRNA is new and unproven even though it tends to have high efficacy (at least people believe that), and (2) the Chinese vaccine is safer (proven by many other countries) even though it has lower efficacy. My point is that at this juncture, I would take a safer vaccine than a Ferrari with a higher probability of going wrong. So you need to chill and read English more carefully.

It's only a matter of time before Twitter locks out all Chinese official and media accounts.

I've said this before, the reason Twitter allows Chinese officials to post on its platform is to maintain the semblance of "free speech", and they will only maintain it as long as they believe those Chinese officials do not have any influence.

The fact that they are starting the lock out shows people are starting to listen to the Chinese accounts. There have been a marked change in the replies to those Chinese posts, from overwhelmingly anti-China to 50-50.

Internet segregation is starting to take shape. When so-called "free speech" advocates can no longer control the narrative, they resort to the very censorship they've always denounced.

China needs to start pushing its own platforms to the world. Pre-load HarmonyOS phones with WeChat, and Tiktok. Build an international version of Weibo and push that. Twitter and Facebook are both dinosaurs, and too big to change. They're ripe for some disruption.

Indeed, there seems to have been a turning of the tide:

For all the help Canadian give to abduct Meng Wanzhou Canada didn't get enough pfizer vaccine prompting Ontario premier to beg for vaccine. I guess it does not pay to become a poodle.

Just a day before Joe Biden’s inauguration as the next U.S. president, Ontario Premier Doug Ford asked the next American president for Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine doses from the company’s Kalamazoo, Michigan facility

“My American friends, help us out,” Ford said. “Help out your neighbour. You want us all to get along, hunky dory, kumbaya, help us out, I’m asking you for help.” “Give us a million vaccines...get us over the hump.”

The premier said that it is “troubling” and a “massive concern” that Canada will see a reduction in Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine doses, with next week’s shipment being deferred entirely.
