Regarding the Chinese countermeasures against foreign laws that target Chinese firms:
I'm wondering how this works in the case of Australia which purposefully excluded Chinese firms like Huawei on 'national security' grounds and even blocked harmless chinese investment in dairy companies not even owned by Australian firms (Lion was owned by an asian company i believe).

probably more so targeted at foreign companies such as HSBC operating in HK and following US sanctions on Chinese and HK individuals. I imagine that it actually won't be applied to HK and will only be applied to mainland China
