Noticed they packed their bible (another family being indoctrinated by their religious leaders!) because their faith is important to them. So much for their faith, that they won't stay and fight for their beliefs.

I think it is sad in a way because they don't appear to be the trouble makers that we have seen so often in the last couple of yrs. He's chucked up a good job which gave him a comfortable living which given their lack of English skills, I don't think he will be able to replicate in the UK.
Yes, along with the pretty Yau Wai Ching. Yau quit politics after her jail term and got abit weird after that, talking about birth pill and gaining weight, regret her actions in the swear in ceremony.

It's a typical message from the West. China is not good enough to live in and the only way China can rectify the problem is by embracing Western values. Make no mistake that it's only a passing comment that they're Christians. Otherwise this family wouldn't have gotten all this attention. I bet they found this family from a Christian church. Sorry, Westerners just don't romanticize Asians because it's not they're culture and they generally find Asians ugly. This is the only case where you'll find an exception is because they're Christian. So all you Asians who are searching for Western acceptance, you better abandon everything from your culture. Someone in the article mention missing soy chicken. How dare they? Stop eating it. Westerners don't like seeing chicken hanging like that with the heads still on them. They eat chicken too but it's barbaric how Chinese do it. I've had my conflicts with animals rights activists and they think the difference between Chinese and Westerners is Westerners kill chickens humanely while the Chinese don't. If you can ask a chicken which it would prefer, it would say neither because it would rather live. Instead the Westerner will speak for the chicken and say it would rather be killed by a Westerner because they treat chickens with respect. What makes this family in Honk Kong so special? They're not except only they follow the West's narrative when all they are is just a chicken. You think they would dare speak out in Scotland or any Western country. They're going to be typical Chinese and be quiet when wronged. That's culture and not because a communist government forced it.
