American influence/psyops operations are kind of scary if you think of this scale.
Diaoyu Islands dispute was able to unite all 3 (4) territories of "Greater China" 30 years ago

Today you have Taiwanese claiming they are Japanese, HK people saying they are not Chinese, crazy...
Even crazier if you consider the context of the time
- PRC was poorer
- Tiananmen Square incident was "fresher"

Western media always likes to talk about "freedom", or "crackdowns", but it can be argued that PRC is freer now than at that time.

Yeah, but it's crazy. Think about that Agnes Chow, they are calling her "Goddess of Democracy" and so great for being able to speak Japanese.

Imagine building a time machine and sending her back to 1996 HK and how warmly would she be greeted?

Like I said before, is there any meaningful way that PRC was better in 1996 (politically, economically, etc.) than today? Even in that time (no handover yet), an HKer was willing to die to protect the territorial integrity of China.

I can see why American establishment is so afraid of political influence campaigns now. They can clearly work, and the US were 30-50 years way ahead of the game, but probably less now.

Also it’s a whole new generation of people today educated under new curriculum . The one’s that never witnessed true British oppression.

Christmas came early!

LOL, have they still not figured out they are geopolitical pawns? They are useless to their handlers if they are in the US complaining to the US gov, they were suppose to only be used in HK to cause chaos and be disposed of like toilet paper.

I don't get it.

Why is Lying Ted doing the president's dirty work?

Trump should come out of the shadows and do it himself. He still has a few days left in the big house.

I am going to miss President Trump. It could be the end of an era. Every time I think about it, I get rather emotional ...
