@Lethe It's the same situation as black people saying the racism is getting outta hand and whites saying "i don't see it". You don't have the Spidey senses if you ain't the one that's getting screwed over.

Interesting, because China already have the non-high-quality goods cornered. Hopefully this includes some agriculture tariffs.

Speaking as a taiwanese australian, here's what i reckon of australia:
  1. Australian culture is defined by a deep seated insecurity over being "swamped by asians", very very similar to americans being afraid of the 'browning of america'. You see this insecurity in the media and dog whistling amongst politicians for eg the demands by a white german australian senator towards 4th and 5th generation chinese australians to swear allegiance to australia via condemning China. You wouldn't see this sort of behaviour if the australian political culture was secure in its own identity; why else the need for demonstrative displays of fealty from asians to white australian supremacy?
  2. Australian political autonomy died when Bob Hawke was fired by the Governor General and since then all australian PMs have had to act as agents of the Pentagon.
  3. There is a meme of CANZUK ie the grande alliance of anglo nations with the eventual head being the US, meaning that the anglosphere's leaders have chosen a race based hegemonic society as their model for the future. How else for instance can a first generation english person be more readily accepted in australian society than a 4th generation chinese australian with ancestors in the mining camps of Australia?
The difference between the Anglosphere FVEYEs and China is that china is first and foremost a civilisation state and the FVEYEs are a race based empire with a de facto apartheid system of favouring anglos and scandinavians over say, lesser europeans eg greeks, turks and armenians.

Here we have a lottery for container slots on ships going to Europe. Exports are so strong now that both ships and containers are running out in China. 40ft containers are now going for $10,000 USD each and here we see 143 exporters with demands for 280 container slots fighting for 90 available via lottery.

Spare me your absurdities. Everyone know why China is doing this.
And the list is somewhat hypocritical because PRC also does some things it accuses Australia of doing.
Devoid of all meaningful rebuttal as always. And no, I will not spare you from your ignorance or lack of logic. The person with the highest support on his posts speaks for "everyone," and that is not you. The list is entirely reasonable as China has no hostility against Australia, which is by far no rival to it while Australia shows hostility towards China. Is hypocritical another word that you don't understand? LOL

Unfortunately your post did not directly address my question, which was if and why Australia is actually seen as a noteworthy subject for discussion within China and in Chinese-language media. It is entirely to be expected that the relationship gets a lot of coverage in Australia, but from China's perspective I would've thought Australia would be well down the list of countries and relationships worthy of attention, irrespective of how well or poorly the relationship was going. Reading between the lines, you've suggested that Australia has "taken the lead" in the "western crusade" against China, functioning as Washington's "attack dog". If that perspective on Australia is indeed widely held within China then that is very regrettable and something that, I believe, we should seek to change. For as you say, there is no fundamental reason born of history or geography why Australia and China should not be able to enjoy a reasonably harmonious relationship that benefits both nations.

I’m not in China so I can’t speak for the Chinese. However, your own words may have shown the reason: What has China done that harmed your interests that you feel you need protection from? Do you honest believe China is gonna invade you or stop your ships in the high seas (from reaching China)? Political influence? Oh please. What I read in articles sounded far less sinister than what your hysterical medias had portrayed them to be. In contrast, how much your government apparatuses are actually controlled by the Americans? The American Proconsul, i meant ambassador just gave your foreign minister an award for good behaviour. Pathetic really.

All the craps your media has spew about China over the years are all hysterical fake news. Australia is just not that important.

i think the Chinese netizens feel there is absolutely no reason for the Aussies to be so hostile that you would send your warships to China’s coast, team up with other hostile countries with the express intend of beating down China, allow US marines to base at Darvin, support American strategic bombers on their flight to (simulated) bombing run to China, and stopped any meaningful Chinese investments. By the way, people in China don’t seem to give a damn on how you treat Chinese Australians because they are after all Aussie citizens. The comments I read on Chinese forums generally feel Aussies are a bunch of ungrateful white supremacists.

Look the bottom line is deep down many Anglo Christians (whites) are afraid to lose their imperial territories as time and the world changes that favors the East (China in particular). Some people therefore just can't accept that.
They are just going to have to accept this kicking and screaming and hopefully this time, they will learn to be humble. They have mucked around long enough and thus are due to not only suffer the consequences of there actions, but the Anglo Saxon world must sink but be treated like the third class garbage they truly are so they will never again try to spread there idiotic ideals to the world with bombs and guns like they have for the last bloody half century. Until the western world tastes the kind of loses of life that the Russians and Chinese have suffered in WW2, then they simply will never learn there lesson that no one nation be superior to one another based on color or race. Hopefully a disaster occurs to facilitate that learn process because we all know that China has not invaded any other nation despite the USA continually saying otherwise, I mean they lie so often they should be punished for that.
