This somehow reminds me of an imperial walker...

I see a lot of PAP and soldiers wearing FAST style helmets with no added benifit (no communication devices), I hope they start to adapt to the new equipment better.

Looks remarkably like ESS Crossbows. Great thing if they are, because those are some really good ballistic goggles.

After qbz191 will be issued, PLA will be considered in the rank of modern infantry in substance as well as appearence. BTW can you post the link to video.
Why aren't they issued combat gloves? It is very easy to get your hands messed up in combat environments like this (with all the sharp rock edges and whatnot. Even your ordinary civilian mountain trekkers wear gloves in this sort of environment). Plus it seems they don't have elbow and knee pads yet, but that's a much smaller issue

I believe it's in the process of being distributed but unsure how they do it and who gets first priority.

LOL. What is with the PLA being so cheap with basic things like gloves? Literally you can buy gloves made for airsoft online for less than 10 dollars. Are they milspec? No, but sure beats getting your hands cut up trying to rock climb bare handed.

Also. I have no idea where this is. But if it's near India, I hope these guys have air cover or at least one of those geostationary observation camera balloons. Terrain looks like a great place to get ambushed.
It looks like somewhere in Xinjiang. Note the desert camo.
