Apparently this is due to the government not really taking care of the virus and is too busy hiding the true depths of the virus spread until it is too late to really handle it properly. The Japanese follow too much in the ways of the west and ultimately seem to keep on following this kind of leadership and hence has never true innovated there leadership until now, hence this has caused a lot of long term problems that are quite hard to fix

China has food security despite this year's record flooding.
In 2017, China produces 620 million tons of grain, while India produces 280 millions tons.
Yet, no one seems to notice the disparity and the food security issue in India, though it is being regarded as self sufficient in food production.
Therefore, all these concern about food security in China is not really warranted.
