There is someone do Length measurement of this Type 003 Aircraft Carrier.
According to his measurement, Type 003 AC will have at least 315 m Waterline Length with curent modules in dry dock.

If his analysis is true, then this is amazing. That's mean Type 003 AC will have same Waterline length with Nimitz class.

What are the chances that the nose section is to be brought down to meet the the rest of the ship, thereby significantly reducing the yellow line 315m measurement? Or is that unheard of/unlikely in ship-building with sections generally being moved laterally into place to fill gaps as they are ready?

Here's another image of the Type 003 aircraft carrier under construction dated 12th August. It is not dramatically better than the one posted yesterday but at least a bit clearer so that at least the engine's rooms are visible.

Therefore, determining the length of the underwater hull from a few days ago makes no sense

The construction still seems the same that it was on August 3. Which is not to say that the construction is stopped. The big crane is moving ahead of the ship and then back to it. My guess is that at this stage, they are loading equipment into the modules.
