Probably a new build as there are two new antennas (which change the plane's aerodynamics).



The two separated antennas are probably used for phase-interferometry to accurately estimate the direction of an incoming signal based on its phase difference.

Sorry, but why shall two small antennas change the "plane's aerodynamics" so much when nearly each and every Y-8/9-EW variant has a different fin cap and sensor fit? IMO they won't change the plane's aerodynamics in any dramatic way, at least not more than any other larger external array.

Though the change in aerodynamics is not huge, some adjustments are still needed. For example, there are new blade antennas under the aft fuselage, which function as small ventral fins to increase stability. Such arrangements require some structural redesigns, which make retrofitting less cost-efficient than building a new airframe.

The phase-interferometry capability of new KJ-200 enables it to detect some incoming threats (especially stealthy fighters) better than KJ-500. Note the SATCOM antenna on top of the plane, which is not available on previous KJ-200 versions.

clearly no3 looks great and the one to be taken forward
