Oh boy..I see you fellows like to see stuff blow to smitherenes! So here's some more!!

All photos have been released to the public by the US DoD.

1) A heavily damaged US Marine Corps (USMC) Amphibious Assault Vehicles (AAV7A1) equipped with a mine plow, waits shipment at Camp Fox, Kuwait during Operation IRAQI FREEDOM. The Vehicle was reportedly destroyed by friendly fire. (Released to Public)

2) A destroyed Iraqi M-46 130mm Field Gun sits along a roadside in Iraq, during Operation IRAQI FREEDOM. (Released to Public)

3) US Marine Corps (USMC) Marines assigned to Combat Service Support Battalion 18 (CSSB-18), load the wreckage of a destroyed Amphibious Assault Vehicle (AAV7A1), onto a US Army (USA) M1000, Heavy Equipment Transporter, Semi-trailer, at an ambush site located within the city of An Nasariyah, Iraq, during Operation IRAQI FREEDOM. 4) A destroyed Russian satellite ground terminal sits in among a grove of tree in an area near Kabul, Afghanistan, during Operation ENDURING FREEDOM. (Released to Public)

5) As Marines patrol the area, in the foreground is the ruin of a Soviet surface to air missile (SAM) site destroyed by coaliton air sorties, possibly an SA-3 launch ramp. It is located near the Kandahar International Airport, Kandahar, Afghanistan. The image taken during OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM. (Released to Public)

1) Still in flames, a destroyed Russian made T-55 Main Battle Tank (MBT) north of the An Nu'maniyah bridge on Highway 27, during Operation IRAQI FREEDOM. (Released to Public)

2) Coalition military personnel inspect the remains of an Iraqi SU-22 aircraft in a hangar destroyed by Coalition bombing during Operation Desert Storm. (Released to Public)

4) An overall view of the north side of the building that was severely bomb damaged in the Khobar Towers complex. The explosion of a fuel truck set off by terrorists at 2:55 p.m. EDT, Tuesday, June 25, 1996, outside the northern fence of the Khobar Towers complex near King Abdul Aziz Air Base, killed 19 and injured over 260. The facility housed U.S. service members and served as the headquarters for the 4404th Wing (Provisional), Southwest Asia. (Released to Public)

5) Navy personnel inspect damage to the hull of the amphibious assault ship USS TRIPOLI (LPH-10) as the vessel sits in dry dock awaiting repairs. The damage was inflicted by an Iraqi mine that the ship struck while serving as a mine-clearing platform in the northern Persian Gulf on February,18, 1991 during Operation Desert Storm. The TRIPOLI was able to continue operations after damage control crews stopped the flooding caused by the explosion. (Released to Public)

4) Front view of the remains of a crashed MH-53J Pave Low IIIE helicopter as the rotor head comes out of the ground. The helicopter crashed near Camp Mackall Army Air Field, North Carolina on the night of June 2, 1999. Air Force Special Operations Command requested that the aircraft be recovered and returned to Hurlburt Field, Florida. (Released to Public)

5) The aerial view, taken one day after the accident, shows the extent of the damage to the C-141 Starlifter after the F-16D Falcon crashed and hit the unoccupied C-141 parked on the tarmac. Exact Date Shot Unknown . Published in Airman Magazine, May 1994. (Released to Public)

Probably another tank or a lucky hit from an RPG was what caused the tank to be abandoned in the first place. Then other Abrams or an aircraft hit it to assure the Iraqis didn't get anything from it. That happened in this one book I read about the Iraq war, and seems to be what they usually do if they don't plan on recovering the tank anytime before they think the enemy can get to it because of combat.
