No consequence. China is still buying a lot from Australia and those UK goods are still being bought.
LOL What does buying a lot mean? China put some tariffs and sanctions on Australia and Australia's been nagging and moaning about it. China said that several UK brands like Burberry, etc... can be boycotted in China. Nobody threatened an end to all business so the things you say have no meaning. One could easily say that the US is still buying "a lot" from China and "goods are still being bought" so the entire trade war has no consequence. Incoherent argument with meaningless statements.

The Chinese ambassador in UK said they still want win-win relation with UK. So get out of your bubble and see the real world.
The UK is saying the same thing. Like I said, limited consequences for a limited action. Reading comprehension problem for you again.

You already said once that you want China to be respected.
Quote me. I think you have me confused with someone else again. I might have said something like respect can only be earned through strength, and if you have extremely poor reading comprehension, which you do, you might confuse that to mean something else.

You said there should be reciprocation, but they said that for huawei it is a no. Soon it well be another no for tiktok. So what? China should not really care because China is not defined by Huawei.
Who said it's a no for Huawei/Tiktok? Incoherent statement.

Another stupid and puerile thing Chinese fanboy like to say. What is your problem if UK or Australia or India want to be a US colony? Are you the UK prime minister? If it upset you, it is because you want them to be China colony instead. You want them to have deference to China because China is now a great power.
Another illiterate mentally-degenerate conclusion. My sentence literally said that it's ok if they want to be a colony of the US and you're asking me what the problem is or if it upsets me? Which word did you fail to understand this time? Is it the meaning of "OK?" LOL

Hypocrisy and low self-esteem.
Yes, your problems as we all see.

So make the threats you can really do, not the one you can't do.
Which threats did China make but can't do?

China has not threaten Japan over huawei ban. What is the issue with Australia and Europe?
Japan was never expected to use Huawei and it was clear from the beginning. Chinese culture is already quite anti-Japan and many people don't buy Japanese things unless absolutely necessary. That's not the feeling in China against the UK, but it can be and it should be, which in itself is quite an economic retaliation. The UK has become a battleground for Huawei, which is why it is appropriate for China to respond with reciprocal intensity.

Incoherent Policy.
Incoherent arguments.

Trade with Australia is booming and the Chinese ambassador in UK is still cajoling the UK gov after the huawei ban.
If it's booming, then Australia's really flapping its mouth acting like a victim over nothing, isn't it?

Empty threat.
What was the threat and how was it empty?

Front loading to hedge against possible future trade restrictions.
Nobody say it is wrong to retaliate. That is not the issue here. It is about empty threat and over reach.
The retaliation will not be instantaneous, it has already started with soccer and will probably move slowly.

The reality is that China don't have many card to play. So they can't really take the initiative and have very few proactive option.
They have some card to play but it means they should be ready to pay the price. For now they are wainting for a Biden win to de-escalate tensions. But Trump gov aim to use tough actions to create a permanent state of tensions; they're working fast because they fear a Biden win and want to leave a legacy of ruptured ties.

They could even cut off diplomatic ties with China before November and recognize taiwan.

By doing just that, they will be acknowledging that China and Taiwan are inextricably intertwined.

On China and Iran, the economic cooperation will certainly be happening. It's sort of a reach out to another regional country that's at least genuinely neutral or pro-China/anti-US, and another hedge on CPEC BRI routes in case of disruptions (lessons from Huawei). Weapons sales to Iran will be trickier but it should happen. Screw what Israel thinks. Israel's sold weapons to India too. It's not like Iranian backed "groups"/"terrorists" will be operating any of the exported weapons that Israel and Saudi Arabia may object and take offense to.

When it comes to mud wrestling with the pig, I find that analogy unfair. It may be dirty and full of whining but it's still effective no? The western powers have solidified their own stance against China using this method and where it could have been many western nations friendly with China's rise, almost all of them and their peoples consider it a threat to the world order and their politics/way of life. That's effective for "domestic propaganda". Like them, China's internal unity is also set through a different set of propaganda and means of achieving unity. I'm not interested in arguing the details though and both sides complain about the other's way of getting this unity and creating a coherent strategy, to each their own and all's fair yada yada.

China could have made a bit more effort fighting the more nefarious propaganda campaign. First the whole communism spiel, then the copying and stealing of technology, now the Uighurs and HK protests etc. Most of these were built on elements if not entire foundations of lies and simplifying complex things. We've debunked most of those throughout the years on this forum alone. It's not hard for the CCP to fight the good fight and just pay a bit of attention here. All they need are fluent English speaking Chinese who have seen through the wool.

Who talk about ending all business? It has never been the debate focus.

Lol, Your sentence was to show that they are not independent from US like you think China is. They are not independent from US like you think they should be. That is the real meaning of your sentence.

Japan was never expected to use Huawei and it was clear from the beginning. Chinese culture is already quite anti-Japan and many people don't buy Japanese things unless absolutely necessary. Feeling? Your IR policy is based on feeling? Oh I see now, it is like the famous "Hurting the Feelings of the Chinese People" from PRC gov.
I don't know if you are serious or naive.

What was the threat and how was it empty?
Which threats did China make but can't do?

You don't even know the threat but you are here arguing and contending. Follow what the foreign minister spokesperson and the ambassador in thoses countries say.

It is precisley because China and Taiwan are inextricably intertwined that they could be doing that.
What primary matter will be PRC gov reaction after that.
