Interesting that those appear to be stealth cruise missiles in the main weapons bay.

is a strange case. I vividly recall that some of his drawings (of UCAVs) were bang-on accurate 'predications' of the final products many months before their photos were first leaked out. But most of the time, he seems to produce drawings just for fun, but it's hard sometimes to tell which of his drawings have basis in reality.

The images below are an example of his enigmatic style. Obviously the they don't match any known airframe. The accompanying poetic verse expresses something along the lines of (in my awkwardly poetic translation): "however bigly people dare to dare, the 'earth' can spring a match for that dare." Of course, part of his Weibo username means "grassroots", and grass and their roots are from the ground. So 'earth' could simply mean his imagination, or maybe not. I'm getting carried away.

I'd keep a watch on his account but not take everything he posts too seriously.

That picture kind of looks like the underside of an imaginary tactical bomber of YF-23 class (The version that the US contemplated on and say Nah). The difference would be that the underside is flat and the air intake is at the top. Also, the weapons bay arrangement is a little different than the one we YF-23 had.

Not sure if anyone else has posted this...

This official article published by the Chinese Aeronautical Establishment (the original source for this article has been deleted, so sadly no links... but I can provide a screenshot to prove its validity) explicitly states that 601th institute is working on a "new-generation fighter" and it's maiden flight is due in some time next year ( AKA 2021), later in the article (not on the screenshot), it also mentions 29th institute (which mainly focuses on avionics and in paticular Electronics Warfare from what I can find out) is also in the project.

P.S. I dont have a clue what the "MBSE", which is mentioned multipletimes in the article and seems to be some kind of new tech, is... any info on the subject would be most welcome

They said the J-31 was dead. They said the DF-41 was dead. Personally I like to see it because it's different from anything out there and it serves psychological value if adversaries knew it was out there.
Not exactly sure if this article refers to FC31 because it explicitly says "maiden flight"... however I dont see any other plausable explination other than if by some miracle 601 managed to whip a brand new 4th gen fighter out of their sleeves

The new fighter is most likely based on but not the FC-31 so its like the F-35 (first flight 2006) and the X-35 (first flight 2000)
