Railgun in small arm form. From the video, I estimate that the power is around a .22lr round.
Looks interesting... I wonder whether it’s actually a rail gun or a coil gun, if it’s a rail gun, I wonder how many shots the barrel is good for. Also it doesn’t show multiple shot without a cut in the video, so most likely the charging time might still be quite long at the moment. A .22 isn’t be too bad of a start, I look forward to more news on this!

It is indeed a coil gun.

Well still a good start as least there is already a proof of concept to work from and also someone else have made something similar before so the idea definitely works and with relatively fast charging too. So now is refinement into a usable weapon.

Honestly, a man portable coil gun would be more for very niche special/covert operations applications (not to mention worrying about such a system breaking down due to issues with the electronics or power supply being lugged around the battlefield).

Curious on the PF-98, I have seen previous picture where a single soldier firing the PF-98 with the stick in front. Are they using it as some kind of monopod?

Probably just a training stick so the soldier don't tilt it too high and get hit by backblast/ tilt it too low and miss the target.
