Wonder if this is based off of the urns picture or whatever else was already debunked here. Claims made by people who say they need to remain anonymous and cannot show their evidence only qualify as rumors, and the true motive is too obvious to state.
This play is all to predictable; when America's death toll mounts and makes US containment efforts look bad compared to China's, America's government can only say that the Chinese numbers are just lies or else it must accept the obvious conclusion that China did a much better job even when faced with a surprised infection than America did with months' worth of advanced notice.

This is an unsubstantiated rumor based on "anonymous sources" and should be removed - especially since the us government has publicly
We have seen how the us has used "anonymous sources" to push all types of claims eg Bloomberg "spy chips", Huawei "hacking/spying", Uyghur "genocide", wmds in Iraq, Assas "gassing" citizens, etc. They have all turned out to be lies. This is just more of the same.
I hope mods will apply their rules fairly and equally. Thanks.

The masks issue has nothing to do with arguing whether you need a mask or not. It's about if there's a shortage where healthcare workers who are more at risk don't have them, they should get them first. If you're not around sick people, your risk is low.
People are eager to include asymptomatic people into figures and what does that mean? The more people found to be infected lowers the death rate. And what happens if it turns out coronavirus has the same death rate as the flu? The usual suspects are so eager to increase the numbers but they don't think about how it counters their other lies. All this because they want to save face that China handled it better. The more cases only says China handled it better more...

I wish. It's just a typical CIA/western intelligence operation. We've seen it dozens of times before.
The Chinese term "无症状感染者“ actually includes both asymptomatic and presymptomatic cases.
Shouldn't the world demand transparency from the United States? If the US actually has proof that the Chinese numbers were fake, then it is crucial, for the sake of global public health, to publish their evidence and allow people around the world to see it.
