It looks like they are going to crank out 8 of these type 075 ships very quickly, just to match their main adversaries.
Still pushing that narrative. It's one hell of a risk to take. IMO, they'll likely build a few to test out their design before building more.

Yes, a large transport ship with huge empty internal space, plus some standard weapons and sensors can be built easier and in faster time.
It is unlike a surface combatant where every inch of usable space is utilised, fitted with complex equipment, and a lot of compartments that need to be worked on, thus for 075 it does not need that much manhours to complete the hull, which are just basic work in welding steel sheets to shape.
