The other ship is a 052DL. You can tell if its a DL without looking at the hanger deck or the bushy VHF array, by looking at the HQ-10, where it has been raised on a deck so it could clear the SATCOM aft of it.

If that is Chengdu above then what is this ship below? It is unmarked and is at Lushun base.

On the ship at the bottom, its hard to see the ship's VHF array clearly, but note the spine on top of the hanger where the HQ-10 sits on. It has two steps. This isn't a 052D from the first and second batch, but the third batch, the DL ones.

But if these ships are on trials, why are they on the naval base? Has the trial procedure changed that they would include navy personnel?

Another 052DL is spotted in Zhoushan base.

China Navy third type 052D improved destroyer started first sea trial yesterday, it was launched at Jiangnan Shipyard on December 18, 2018

If this is the third, then the ones at Lushun and Zhoushan bases are the first and second. I am assuming they are headed to the naval bases as part of their sea trials, which means the Chinese Navy is going to be more involved in the trials process. Another hypothesis is that the first two ships have passed their shipyard certification trials and are now on the navy acceptance trials as the third enters its shipyard certification trials.

Tweet by @horobeyo. There are four pictures to this tweet but one is Type 056A related.

These two pics might be the same Type 052DL or DG destroyer posted above by by78 showing close up of its VHF based mid array. The HQ-10 is said to be the HQ-10A, with suffix A now.

That is a Type 052DL or DG at the bottom right corner. This is a separate destroyer from the DL/G that was with the Sixth Destroyer Flotilla and maybe numbered pennant 156. My hypothesis is that this ship in the picture will be the future pennant 121 or 122. Nice to see that the PLAN is speed up trials on the 052DL or /G, whatever you want to call it. This ship is likely the one pictured in the above and with the VHF arrays on close up.
