That’s still military service. It’s not civilian piloting experiences as she claims.

Actually most guard pilots are high time civilian pilots as their "day job", they are so called "week end warriors" , so yes as Minnie states they have a lot of practical flying experience with navigation and airmanship....

They fly fighter aircraft for "Fun", also may have an airplane or two of their own, many fly competitive aerobatics....

As well many of those cat's learn to fly in the Military, and get out to make the big bucks as commercial airline pilots, and being adrenaline junkies, have to get their fix on "week end", and yes, they are subject to "activation", but their employers know that.....

so even though flying here is not as cheap and easy as in the past, there are a lot of civilian pilots.

So the military doesn't have a problem getting pilots, they have a difficult time retaining experienced pilots because the civilian market is SO competitive...

Side note: Why are the UV MAWS missing in this bird? o_O

There is no consistency to the application of MAWS on the 'C' version. Some have a pair on the tail and some also have a pair on the intake. And some don't at all. The 'B' was at least consistent because it had the sensors at the back above the engine nozzle a la JF-17.

This is a major achievement. More so than the twin-engined J-20 getting WS-10. The single-engined J-10C using the WS-10 shows the maturity of the engine. It has come a long way from the early headaches. Good job Shenyang!
I concur. Bigger achievement than J20 getting WS10. Actually, I would dare to say that in some regards it's bigger news than whenever J20 will be seen flying with WS15. WS15 may be shiny and advanced, but this might signal that whatever variant of WS10 is on that J10, is sufficiently advanced that it can be used on any kind of a plane. So the long talked out long-spool-up-time issue might have been somehow resolved.

This might signal the start of J-10 actually getting exported, in the coming years.

Can you post the link? CFT on the J-10 is hard to believe because of the aerodynamics of the canard layout. Unless the CFT can be installed without hindering airflow too much..
