It will be interesting to know if they place DF-31As on silos or is only DF-41 gonna get silo deployment due it's weight.

Huh? Why would they put road mobile missiles into silos? DF5 goes into silos. Both 31 and 41 stay mobile....

They have been building Russian style silos for solid-fueled missiles.

The most surprising new development in the training area is the construction of what may be a new type of missile silo. I want to emphasize that there is no official confirmation the structure is a silo, but it strongly resembles one. If so, it is potentially possible it could be part of a Chinese effort to develop the option to deploy some of its new solid-fuel road-mobile ICBMs – possible the DF-41 – in silos. According to the

on Chinese military developments, “China appears to be considering additional DF-41 launch options, including rail-mobile and silo basing.”

Construction of the silo began in June 2018. Initially, a roof was built over it to conceal details, but in May 2019 the roof was removed exposing the silo to satellite photography

The layout of the Jilantai silo is very different from the silos seen at Wuzhai. Those silos, which are thought to be similar to about 20 operational silos hidden in the mountains of the Henan and Hunan provinces for use by the liquid-fuel DF-5A/B ICBMs, consist of a rectangular retractable lid covering the silo on a concrete pad. And they have large exhaust vents to protect the DF-5’s liquid fuel from the launch heat.

The rumors are referring to DF51. The DF-41 and 31 will remain mobile. DF51 is supposed to be much larger, higher payload and longer than 41's range, making mobile almost impossible, therefor the silo.

So the rumored DF-51 is like the RS-28 Sarmat? Extra-large ICBM carrying 10 - 20 warheads? o_O

I don't know. To me, DF-31AG and DF-41 provide good deterrence, especially with the introduction of the DF-41

Totally agree. Increase the number of DF-41 and DF-31AG is the best strategy (let say 75 each) .. also keep ~30 DF-5B/C in Silo (with ~3,000 kms tunnel?) to complicate the enemies

Since they are already building new silos it means that "DF-51" is already on testing.
