Hong-Kong Protests

This goes to the heart of the problem plaquing HK. Adolescent school children being used to demand right to be indoctrinated and brainwashed. The placard are just full of empty slogan without meaning and full of falsehood such as "support black" "8/31 They are murderers" "Pray for us" ....

They even brought the small school band.
I am totally lost as to why and how this is even possible. Is it because of large section of society has been too preoccupied with pursuit of money and have neglected the welfare of their children? Is it because of poor parenting? Are school and church leaders using these children as tools to propagate their own anti-China agenda and grievances? or as they want us to believe Are the HK police actually murdering people and sending them to China to cremate? Go figure.

It is possible because there are no meaningful opposition media in HK.

In the West, there are always opposition media on domestic matters. During the G7 riots, most mainstream media condemned the rioters. During the Occupy Wallstreet movement, right-wing media continuously derided the Occupy protesters.

Without an opposition voice, the people of HK are exposed to only one side of the story, and media tycoons control the narrative.

Which is why I think after all this is over, the Hong Kong government should have a thorough sort out of the press licenses. Revoke all those who participated in, or obstructing law enforcement during these trouble times.

Sound draconian? Well don't forget every nations does this. Basically, if you don't agree with the government, you should not be making a living out of the economy that brought you all the benefits you needs!

What annoys me most, is that some public bodues, be it journalists, doctors, teachers, air taffic control. Etc. All happily accept regular paycheques from the very government they are distorying!

Absolutely, everyone is using children. I even heard of older kids (university age) telling younger kids (college and school age). It's ok to take one for the course, because you are UNDERAGE, and if arrested you will be release in no time!

The main point I was making was the radicalisation of young kids which is illegal in the UK and USA, so why isn't it illegal in Hong Kong!

And why is the western world stay so quite about this. Even our resident members here who is strong on law and order, are remaining strangely silence. Do they condone these sort of thing?

Bravo. At last pushing back on the diplomatic front. Hong Kong fed for women speak in the UN (proper UN, not a tribunal)!

Very sad to hear about the family break ups. This is sounding more and more like the Cultural Revolution.

Through the lack of action on the part of HK government, the young people of HK have been effectively given license to disrupt and destroy social order, much like the Red Guards of old. Those who believe this will die down on its own should remember that the Cultural Revolution lasted 10 years, and only ended with direct government intervention. I do not believe the HK unrest will end without a similar intervention.

This is very upsetting, a new LOW in Hong Kong. A bunch of rioters surrounded a man with THREE little (frighten) children, and started to chant "go back to mainland 大陸" (presumably he is from the mainland, although he did try and sing natuonal athem in cantonese to try and drown out the sound. it just awful!

If I had been there, I would have lashed out. This reminds me of the cultrual revolution, where students ran amok in China.

I've come to a conclusion, that these thugs are beyond help, and quicker China set up camps of the Guantanomo bay variety in the middle of the Gobi the better it is for everyone. (can't believe I'm advocating this)!

Solarz, I didn't know you was going to write about '"cultrual revolution". Great minds think alike I supposed. Lol
