I don't think there is any need to be dramatic.

Royal Navy vessels have had to sail next to much larger US Navy and Russian ships for decades.

I wouldn't judge a book by its cover. F237 is HMS Westminster, she has received the new Artisan radar, the Sea Ceptor surface to air missile and CMS1 combat management system. She is one of the ships fully equipped for ASW so carries the Sonar 2087 towed array and the upgraded Merlin Mk.2. Her hull may be old but she's absolutely up to date in terms of systems.
