Very interesting new images of the Type 003 carrier currently under construction at the Jiangnan Shipyard, Shanghai. For the first time a module - or super block - was moved near the new basin, eventually to be transported to the dry dock. ... even there is surely still a lot of work to be done before it can be carried away to the dry dock.

the 3rd carrier in this Forum is Type 002, as I know,
Type 001 = Carrier 1, Hull-Nr. 16, Liaoning, ex Varjag
Type 001 A = Carrier 2, derivat of Type 001, first home made, built in Dalian, could become more - Hull Nr. and Name unknown,
Type 002 suspectet to be new construction including cat = Carrier 3, built in Shanghai …

nobody knows - and the People of knowlege didnt tell
Everybody knows. It is not a secret, PLAN has made it "public" in their launching event.
  1. CV-16 is called 001 by PLAN.
  2. "Type 001A" is called 002 by PLAN at the launching event.
  3. This forum is apparently wrong in calling the current constructing CV "Type 002".
  4. What would this CV being constructed be if not 003, since number 002 has already been taken?

I wonder why the two sections were built at the back (inland side), then one section moved to the front (river side). Why not build them at where they are now? The two gantry cranes are apparently moving on separate tracks, see the highlight (blue lines) next to the tracks.
