Their gear isn't exactly new, but it's been a few years since they've last been seen

Still, no groin plates. Nevertheless, the new body armor looks much better than previous combat vests, which won't even stop grenade shrapnel. I wonder if these infantries are provided with level IV (or at least level III+) ballistic plates.

What a stupid statement. While older vests like the 04 series were never exactly world class, they definitely provide a degree of protection against things such as grenade shrapnel. You act like the laws of physics work differently in China. :rolleyes:

I seriously hope that they didnt really go back to epaulettes. One reason for the switch to collar insignia was because body armor and webbing would hide them.
