You got a task force from the South China Seas Fleet headed out. That looks like Hefei and Yucheng paired again --- these ships are the ones paired and visited the Russian naval review in St. Petersburg in 2017. The LPD is Changbaishan and the AOR is Honghu. These ships are all vets of blue water operations and escort task forces. This task force will be headed to the Indian Ocean given its disposition, which means along with the 31st Escort Task Force, there will be two PLAN task forces in the Indian Ocean. It should be noted that the 31st itself consists of a frigate and another LPD, putting two LPDs in the Indian Ocean simultaneously.
