It would really help to see a type 726 carrying load (close to allowed max)of any kind to clear doubts about it being underpowered. I haven't come across any confirmation of that.

Why would it be photographed during trials? They usually aren't shown outside trials either.

I haven't ever seen footage of a Nimitz making 30kn either. It's probably underpowered

Actually, we have seen nimitz making extreme turns under high speeds(having full load) and its been well documented, but i get your point.

The position behind the main gun was originally designed for the Hq7 but production models of the 071 LPD was never fitted with one because of cost.
