A blogger who supposedly lives beside SAC (and whom Huitong follows) claims that a new aircraft made its maiden flight, and that it supposedly uses thrust vectoring engines.
Note: help needed in translating the portion talking about thrust vectoring engine.

If this is true it could either be a J-20 or a Flanker derivative. Depending on the doctrine it could be a J-16 or a J-11. More likely the J-11 since the J-16 is to be used mainly for the fighter-bomber role I think. Heck it could even be the J-15.

Maybe they’re already testing TVCon the J-31? Get FCS development for it out of the way early in case they’re formally picked up by the PLAN/PLAAF?

Not impossible either. The MiG-29 OVT had TVC versions of the RD-33, AFAIK development was shelved for lack of money, it might even be possible to resell it to Pakistan later for use in the JF-17. It would also be possible for the Chinese to downscale their own TVC system to fit their own clone of the RD-33.

But I think this is less likely than just using the WS-10 TVC engine on another fighter which can already use it at this juncture.

That’s a good point. Near the end it looks like the Flanker and J-20 in the back look like they’re on the same plane but it could easily be an optical trick from the long lens.
