PLAN really love group wedding
Romance on the sea: Photos capture the sweet moment 21 Chinese navy soldiers marry their brides at a group wedding ceremony held on Jinggangshan, the second largest battleship operated by the PLA Navy, at a southern Chinese port on Nov 8, 2018.

I find Chinese people generally like group weddings a very unique cultural thing. Probably because they like things with lots of people, there is a Chinese word for it but I can't remember ping Ying.

Also the military likes these things because it is great for moral. If those sailors can marry that hot girl, you should enlist too because this could be you one day. The military pays for a lot of the costs too. Easy PR win for the military, and money saved for the couple.

Is unit #7 a Type 071 or the first from the follow on class (071A or 071B)?
All we have is info of a ship with a similar hull structure to that of type 071... Whether it entails enough new design elements to be called a follow on class is surely a hard thing to ascertain until the hull is launched...

It'd be nice if it turned out to be a 075.

I think I read somewhere that the plan was to build 8x Type 071 LPDs.
Especially considering that the USA just increased the size of its San Antonio-class LPD order it makes some sense.

I am still concerned with the situation with regards to the LCACs and the helicopters for these ships though.

The Ship-to-shore portion of an amphibious assault? For the helos, we probably looking at a Navalised Z-20 or even a replacemnt perhaps. Hop onto the Z-20 thread for more info ;) The LCACs are something I didnt really look at... but the latest/best they have is the Type 726? If they plan to build more Type 071s, it would make sense to increase the amount of LCACs they have, yes?
