Can someone do some measurements and confirm if the the two forward units (lower less completed) are Type 055 or Type 052D?

I'm fairly certain that the more completed grey looking hull is an 055; at the aft end I think we can make out how there seems to be two helicopter hangars vs one.
It also seems to be slightly wider than the other three hulls, but that might be my imagination.

I do think the less completed red looking hull alongside the suspected 055 is an 052D. It certainly isn't an 055, as we would expect it to be at a similar stage of assembly to the other hull if that were the case (which we saw with DL's first two 055s which were built essentially in parallel with both moving through the stages of assembly at a near identical pace)

So what one Type 052D and one Type 055?

Btw it’s not 22nd Type 052D but rather 22nd 052 of the series

That is to say the 16th Type 052D since there is 6 x Type 052C

In the 2014-2017 period, we only saw 3 destroyers (both Type-55 and Type-52) launched per year.

In 2018, we've seen 5 destroyers launched so far.

And now we have 4 destroyers being assembled simultaneously in the same dry dock at Dalian, which should be ready to launch next year.

So it does look like naval construction of high-end AAW destroyers has increased due to the deteriorating strategic environment.

My understanding is that the 6 units of Type-52C are separate.

So there are 15 units of Type-52D that have been launched.

At Jiangnan, there are 3 units of Type-52D that are being assembled
At Dalian, there are 4 units of Type-52D and/or Type-55 that are being assembled

Is that correct?

No

15 in the water, 16 and 17 at DL

JNCX has 1 maybe 2 under construction so thats at most 18 or even 19, don't confuse the launch units from under construction

that 22 refers to the 6C+16D=22 when 16 became visible at DL
