Too bad the photo is blurry, but some details on multiple programs can still be made out...
1) Two of the assembly halls behind the basin appear to be occupied, probably by 052s.
2) To the left of the basin there are two 'temporary' enclosures. One 055 is being assembled in the longer one, as for the shorter one, it could be a 052.
3) To the left of the aforementioned enclosures, modules for another 055(?) can be seen.
4) A further three 052s are in the water (two in the basin, and one parked riverside).
5) Two 055s are in the water (one in basin, and one at riverside).
6) And behind the unfinished large basin, one can barely make out the new carrier modules.

So 052E should fix that
If the 052D's follow up rectifies this supposed flaw by rearranging the drive shafts which is a major redesigning, then it is highly unlikely that it will be named "052E", seeing as the the entire line shares the similarity of the hull starting from the original 052.

Its a good point. Maybe it will take up "057" instead?

However, 051B has no hull relationship with the 051, other than the ships being steam powered. The 051 Luda's hull design goes back to a late forties, early fifties Soviet destroyer hull design.

I was thinking the "E" on the 052E could stand for electricity or maybe call it 052DL for Dian Li for electricity in Chinese If I'm correct, if this ship is going to be IPS.

Regardless of the name, I was referring to the follow-up IEPS version of this non-heavy destroyer, which could potentially remove the shafts altogether. Note that the IEPS follow-on version of 054A is simply 054B. Earlier this year, when news of this new frigate came out people began speaking of the 052E as the IEPS evolution of 052D.

Its a good point. Not to mention that, based on rumored drawings and clues from model ships on defense expos, Type 054B also looks like a brand new ship, and not just a 054A evolution, plus rumor that it will have a gas turbine this time, not just all diesel.

Should also note that Type 039 and 039A/B submarine isn't just completely different hull wise, but the latter sub is AIP instead of just diesel electric.

An IEP version of the 052D will not result in its shafts being "removed" by any stretch of the imagination. A rim drive will, but IEP simply means there is no mechanical reduction gear, but there is certainly still going to be a drive shaft involved, in this case running from the electric motor to the props.

yes, it depends on the placement of the electric motors.
