there is no perfect color scheme fitting every place of every season. Northeast China is geographically part of eastern Siberia where in the summer it is covered by deep green trees and lighter green grass, while in the winter covered by lots of snow and deep green pine trees.

not according to open report. The reported PLA troops are all from ground force imbedded in the Russia red formation.

There is a deployment map where "A HOAK" represents PLA, the two formations just below "BBO" represents two PLA brigades.

One thing worth to note is the number of troops in the training field. According to the map in #652, there are 25000 Russian troops representing 5 armies (corps), that is 5000 per army. Apparently it is a skeleton representation of an army, not in full size. PLA sent 3200 troops representing two brigades, together with aviation unit probably represents one army.

Might as well start up those things once in a while, in a war one can't be too picky with what one wants to field. An obsolete tank is better than having no tank at all.
There are thousands of Russian reserve troops mobilized for guarding of important targets. They use T-62M in storage. After all this exercise is strategic exercise meaning an all out war meaning every able bodied person (reservists and militias) and every piece of equipment that can shoot will be included. Chinese reserve troops and militia would be the same, using weapons retired from PLA full-time troops.
Just make it clear, when I said this I did not mean in general, I meant in this Vostok 2018 exercise that Russia mobilized reserve troops.
