As always, what is the credibility of the source claiming them?

And, as importantly, can someone actually translate them? As software translation of that page leaves a lot (almost all) to be desired.

about the performance of a certain engine, which should be the WS-10. cjdby is down now, but from what I remember from reading the thread, the value for IFSD is ten times that of comparable American engines.

  • Cracks in the air-intake housing
  • Cracks in the rectifying plate
  • Nozzle lubrication leaks
  • Lubrication oil issues
    • Metal particles in the lubrication oil exceeds limits
    • Magnetic seal
    • Pump valves
  • Control system - Fuel pressure system sensors and false alarms

And how do you know this is WS-10?

I don't know anything, that was what some said on cjdby. As for how they came to the conclusion, I imagine similarly to any other case of identifying unnamed weapons in official reports, basically by seeing what fits best. For example, China doesn't have that many engines, the timeline works, etc.

Thank you for the legwork. I wish cjdby were more reliable; it seems to be down at least half a dozen times a week.

多年来,在刘永泉的带领下,动力所科研团队创新性地提出发展整机动力学,解决了国产发动机使用中最重要的振动问题;(我们发动机的老大难问题终于解决了,这个消息是令人振奋的!)

From what I could gather, this snippet says that 624 has solved the vibration problem associated with domestic engines and that the WS-15 is progressing excellently. If I recall, there was a press release by Shenyang last year which stated that their most important project (presumably the WS-15) had some vibration issues ... so pretty major breakthrough if true.
