So any educated guess when we get some sort of confirmation or even when the first navalised prototype could be unveiled? Would be Zhuhai an appropriate event or will we no confirmation at all and only some day we will spot a new prototype at SAC?

PB19980515 stated in early 2018 that the first flight would occur between late 2019 to early-mid 2020. I would not be surprised if more information is released at the Zhuhai Airshow since the Chinese seem to be quite transparent compared to several years ago.

But future carriers (003) arent supposeed to be bigger than 001/002 carriers ? Is this an indication that 003 could actually continue the size of 001/002 ??

Translation: "Regarding the Navy's affairs, I'd like to say a few words. I personally prefer medium-sized carrier-borne aircraft. If the current FC-31 isn't good enough, the J-20 isn't small enough. Then, to achieve the desired parameters, which aircraft has the most potential? FC-31 3.0 or 4.0 can easily achieve the target specifications. Or is it easier to downsize the J-20 while retaining a high level of performance? If modifications to the J-20 cannot achieve the targeted requirements and difficulties arise in developing a [new] design in the short term, how does one choose between them?"

PB19980515 shares some more information about the alleged J-XY:

When asked when the engine will be installed for a test flight, PB19980515 claimed that it will do so in 2022.
