Do the modifications mean the end for the production of type-99? With this upgrade, there doesn't seem to be much difference between the two models. Afterall, the type-99 might be of limited production before a newer model comes out (I heard it's going to have a 152mm cannon). Despite the advancements in the Navy and Airforce, it seems like the PLA is still concentrating on the army.
Anybody see SwimmerXC lately? Haven't seen him in awhile.
Wow, it looks pretty cool, and the picture on the left show a different armor. The armor on the left is not shaped like arrow head on the front of the turret like the other pictures.
The two boxes on the storage racks are either Shtora or Chinese equivalent.
That factory pic is not CGI, it is one in a series of photos in that factory. It is just blurry.
The new turret shape (roundish flat arrow instead of sharp horizontal arrow shaped reactive armor) is probably only going through trials, while the 96G (if that's the name for it) is already deployed.
That pic is CGI the shadows are playing wrong, the lack of detail in the tracks the obvious pixiliation (look at the white driving light on the front of the tank and the transistion of the fenders coloring), the fact that you don't fit smoke grenades or machine guns in the factory (thats a unit issue item and are already present at the recieving unit haivng bene mounted on the previous generation of tanks), the leangths of linked track stacked liked fire wood (you roll them onto pallets and then unroll them as needed. Stacking them binds them togehter when the track guides bite into the track above/below them.
